And remain standing for the pledge of a leaders to the flag, United States of America, which will be led by the delegate from Alexandria, Delegate Herring. Let us bow. Most holy and sovereign God, we give you honor and praise. We are grateful for the activity of our limbs, the articulation of speech and the clarity of thought. For we come today mindful that life is more fragile than we often admit. Strength can change quickly. Presence can be missed suddenly. And none of us stands by our own power alone. So we ask you, Lord, to sustain us. Be near to those whose bodies are fighting for strength. Heal, Lord. Hold steady those whose hearts are carrying sorrow. Comfort them, Lord. Restore those whose energy has been worn thin by strain and uncertainty. Help Lord, steady this chamber in wisdom deeper than our own. Guard our judgment. Shape our decisions with humility and care. For every life touched by our work. Keep us mindful that what rests in our hands today has been entrusted to us for the good of many. And remind us, especially now, that we do not carry this responsibility alone. So we entrust this…
