The members will rise and be led in Prayer by Reverend Robert Elliot, Jr. Pastor, Morning Star Baptist Church, Prince George, and remain standing for the Pledge of allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, which will be led by the delegate from Alexandria, Delegate Herring. Let us pray. Most holy, wise and eternal Father, we come humbly before your throne of mercy and grace, beseeching your holy presence in this historical and storied place. Master, I ask that you would come now and anoint these your humble servants with the presence and the power of the Holy Spirit that would lead and direct them as they stand in the seats of servitude for their fellow men. Lord, I ask that you would send your light and your love. Your light that will drive out darkness and your love that will drive out hatred. We ask now that your will will be done in this place as it is in heaven. Let it be done…
