The House will rise and be led in prayer by the honorable G. Paul Nordo, Clerk of the House of Delegates, Richmond, and remain standing for the Pledge of Allegiance of the flag of the United States of America, which will be led by the delegate from Alexandria, Delegate Herring. Let us pray. Divine source of all creation, we gather today in unity, representing diverse beliefs, backgrounds and traditions. As the pace of the work of the Virginia House of Delegates picks up, may the members be guided by compassion, wisdom, and a commitment to justice for all.
