Senator Seigfried raised that physicians should have been consulted on Senate Bill 226, stating 'I think they should have pause over this and I think it would be a good idea to have their opinion on this.' Senator Pinkney responded: 'I will be transparent that I have not spoken to them directly. I have not heard from them that there is any problem from them with the legislation,' and agreed to hold the bill and reach out to the medical society before recirculating.
