Members of the Many Colorado inmates deserve a fair and equitable decision and Opportunities for parole this bill addresses the gap in how our legal system currently handles the reintegration of youthful inmates into society by ensuring courts have a clear guidance and individuals receive more consistent outcomes in decisions for parole. The bill gives second chance to youth and sets them up for success by establishing a program that will support their readiness for reintegration into society. Section 3 establishes a specialized program for juveniles and young adults convicted as adults, as well as young adults convicted under 21 years old.
