Vice Chair Chad Clifford challenged Rep. Ryan Gonzalez's ability to explain TABOR's inflation formula, asking whether he was familiar with 'the Denver Aurora Latewood CPI for inflation calculation' and why he thought it was the most effective measure. Clifford stated 'It scares me that you're running a resolution for something that you can't explain.' Gonzalez responded that CPI was 'kind of like the basic standard for the cost of living.'

Representative Piffner, when TABOR was passed in 1992, it very intelligently anticipated exactly what Representative Ricks has just asked about, what do you do in an emergency? And in fact mandates that every district, that is every government in Colorado set up a 3% emergency fund.”

We're going to start with House Concurrent Resolution 1007 with Representatives. Oh, I'm sorry. House Resolution 1007 with Representatives Luck and Bacon. Give them just a moment to come on over to the table. Welcome, bill sponsors who would like to begin? Representative Block. Thank you, Madam Chair. So every year, the House Minority office or House Minority Caucus has the ability to come up with ideas for four resolutions that the minority puts forward. And this year, one of the ideas was to honor Colorado's 150th anniversary. And. And there were some other ideas as well that the minority caucus came up with, like honoring rodeo as a summer sport and raising awareness about huntovirus. Anyways, and so it was decided that we would try to incorporate as many of those ideas as possible into this larger resolution. I am curious how many of you guys…
