Kate Rawlinson of Colorado Mad Moms argued that Amendment L001, passed by the House, changed the deadline for carriers to clean up provider directories from 6 months to 12 months, and that because the bill takes effect January 1, 2027, carriers would effectively be given two years to continue listing inaccurate directories; she asked the committee to remove the amendment. Senator Matt Ball countered in closing that the amendments adopted in the House to address the ghost networks timeline brought all engaged groups to a good place with the bill.
