The first bill up is 1430 transportation funding and adjustments. And who would like to start off? Representative Basenecker. Thank you, Madam Chair. Members of the committee, I normally start out by saying it's a pleasure to present whatever bill it is before the committee today, but I have to level set with you and sort of set the stage a little bit for what you're going to hear today. Quite frankly, it is discouraging and disappointing to have to bring House Bill 1430 before you today. And I think that sentiment will be shared by the stakeholders that you will hear from. This is a pivotal moment in our state and certainly a conversation that we need to have. But absent up Initiative 175, you would not see me here today bringing this bill before you.
