Not simply incident response, but also focusing on mental health and prevention. Comprehensive school safety is nothing without these really important components. After lengthy discussion with all the parties involved, I request that House Bill 1321 be postponed indefinitely. It's my hope that both the Office of School Safety and some of the impacted nonprofit entities can work together to focus on creating this comprehensive school safety plan moving forward.
