The Joint Budget Committee will come to order. I will let Director Hilke start us off with the Department of Public Safety. There you go again. Thank you. Thank you for letting us be here today. We appreciate the opportunity to talk about our budget requests about the department. You'll see a whole slew of musical chairs today as we bring up different people from different divisions to talk about the different disciplines within the department. As you know, we have six divisions, and so there will be a rotation that will try not to disturb the peace of the chamber here. We're going to hear first from dcj, but before we do that, I just want to jump into some of the slides that we talk about. The next slide is about our mission and our vision and a couple other summary slides. I'm not going to read all this to you, but CDPS has more than 2,300 employees and it has a direct impact on the public safety of Colorado and the communities.
