Today we have three items on our agenda. They are Senate Bill 14, Senate Bill 12, and then Senate Bill 13, in that order. Sponsors of 14 are before us. Senators Amabile, Michaels and Janae. Senators, thanks for being ready to go. Whoever would like to start us off. Senator Michaelson. Janae, thank you. We are here to present modifications to defense of not guilty by reason of insanity. And the purpose of the bill is to update and clarify the current law regarding defense defense of not guilty by reason of insanity. This bill is needed because it requires reports of mental health examinations conducted at defense's requests be shared with prosecution court and Department of Human Services. Clarifies procedures at unconditional of unconditional release hearings for defendants currently on conditional release. If evidence shows a defendant may be ineligible for conditional release, the defendant bears the burden…
