Is an official caucus meeting. And we are joined by Senator Daugherty online. Good to see you, Senator. So I'm going to get us started. Have a little bit of a script to read about how this morning will proceed, and then we'll get into it. Due to the resignation of Senator Michaelson Genay, we will be filling the open leadership position of President Pro Tempore today. This person will serve as President Pro Tem for the remainder of the leadership term that Senator Michaelson Genay would have been in that role, which is until full leadership elections occur after the 2026 general election. I'm going to start by going over the rules for today's leadership elections. Each candidate for the position of Pro tempore will be nominated. Shall be nominated by one attending member. We do not do seconding in the Senate. The nominating member and candidate will then have the opportunity to present to the caucus. Speeches shall not exceed 8 minutes per total candidate. That includes the nominating speech. The order of nominations will be chosen at random. Voting will be anonymous, and the details of vote counts will not be disclosed. We will start with nominations…
