Madam speaker, thank you, madam chair and members of the committee, a delight to be before you today. I am here with minority leader Caldwell to talk about good governance. We are presenting Senate Bill 137, a bill that helps address our review, evaluation, assessment of current regulation and rules that the state has created and making sure that we are doing the best that we can to deliver on the goals and expected outcomes of the rules and regulations that we have passed, all with the goal of creating a more efficient government and certainly supporting our economy, supporting our business and industry partners in being sure they can deliver both on behalf of. Of consumers as well as on behalf of public safety, health and safety. Currently, through the Colorado administrative procedure act, we do have a mandated rule review process in place. What our bill will do is ensure that those rules are reviewed every five years. Several departments do not require a five year review. It is longer…
