Review and Comment Hearing for Initiative #308, 309

We are going to begin the review and comment hearing for proposed initiatives 2025, 2026, number 308 and number 309, which we have captioned concerning designating sporting goods sales tax revenue for conservation. My name is Greg Sovetsky. I am here representing the Office of Legislative Council staff and I'm joined by a representative of the Office of Legislative Legal Services. Section 140, 105, sub 1, Colorado Revised Statutes requires the directors of LCS and OLS to review and comment on initiative petitions for proposed laws and amendments to the Colorado Constitution.
